MICROpod is the first enclosure to allow access to all ports and functionality of NovAtel’s GNSS cards or Rockwell’s MPE engines.
In addition the EDGE model features optional FSL firmware, or firmware plus hardware, upgrades. These include:

EDGE-CAN - Provides CAN capability via two ports at up to 1M/bit per second
EDGE-HEADING - Dual antenna system that utilises two OEMV receivers to provide accurate attitude measurements
EDGE-ATTITUDE - By linking two MICROpod’s together an affordable and accurate pitch, heading and roll system is produced
EDGE-INS - Adds an external IMU. This provides continuous operation during GNSS outages with accurate position and attitude measurements. Accuracy levels are related to the length of outage period.

MICROpod comes complete with cables and a User Manual including instructions and sample code for programming the micro. There are up to 10 serial, 3 USB and 2 CAN channels available. This means different sensors can be integrated or operated from the micro or GNSS. User developed C code can be written and run from MICROpod. This enables customers to efficiently develop software and make use of the power of MICROpod!
