Over the past 18 months FSL have been involved in working on an exciting defence project, using our customers’ GPS-technology. Our engineers have helped to design and produce a GPS device that is explosion resistant. The system has been integrated into military vehicles, which were subjected to the exploding of 50Kg of TNT at a distance of 5m from the vehicle. The system survived the test as well as an accelerated twenty year ‘tracked-vehicle usage’ vibration test, faultlessly.

The device incorporates FSL’s FS-M4 micro for logic, control and hardware/output monitoring and additional to this are communication ports such as CAN, RS232 and RS422.
